This is the only drum of its kind. The warmth and depth of Walnut combine with the quick response of a 14" × 5" shell, creating a sound that remains focused and musical even at higher tunings. Rich low-mid frequencies blend effortlessly with a crisp attack, producing a voice that feels both powerful and refined. The goal of this custom project was simple: create a drum that speaks clearly, responds naturally, and delivers a satisfying, unified tone with every stroke. The result is a snare with character, presence, and exceptional musicality. Custom Modifications Reinforcement rings carefully thinned to approximately 2mm for increased shell resonance. Snare beds repeatedly refined and adjusted to achieve the ideal balance of sensitivity and control. Preserved in its current state to maintain the sound and feel that inspired this custom build. Complete hardware disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and overhaul performed throughout the drum. Condition This drum has been fully overhauled and remains in excellent condition. A Personal Note from Ochi Many drums pass through the workshop each year, but only a few inspire the desire to keep refining them beyond production. This was one of those drums.
